Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday inaugurated the Phase 2 metro rail extension in Chennai, marking a major milestone in the city's urban transport infrastructure.
The new 9-km corridor connects Wimco Nagar in the north to Madhavaram, benefiting over 5 lakh commuters daily. The project was completed at a cost of ₹3,200 crore.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Chief Minister said this project reflects the DMK government's commitment to world-class infrastructure for the people of Tamil Nadu.
